The Faribault Area Hospice is committed to enhancing quality of life through comfort care, support and compassion for patients and their loved ones.
Hospice provides support and care for persons in the final phases of an incurable illness so that they may live as fully and as comfortably as possible. Hospice recognizes dying as part of the normal process of living and focuses on maintaining quality of life.
Hospice exists in the hope and belief that through appropriate care, and the promotion of a caring community sensitive to their needs, patients and their families may be free to attain a degree of mental and spiritual preparation for death.
August 15, 2009 was a Great Day for the 2nd Annual Hospice Ride, over 100 riders/drivers turned out for the event that was hosted by 1st United Bank, Faribault Harley Davidson and J&J Powersports. This year the ride was open to both motorcyclist and car drivers. The participants were a mix of local and out-of-town riders/drivers with most of them having a connection to a hospice program.
