2009 Ride

August 15, 2009 was a Great Day for the 2nd Annual Hospice Ride, over 100 riders/drivers turned out for the event that was hosted by 1st United Bank, Faribault Harley Davidson and J&J Powersports. This year the ride was open to both motorcyclist and car drivers. The participants were a mix of local and out-of-town riders/drivers with most of them having a connection to a hospice program.

Over $12,400 was raised through sponsorships, raffle, silent auction, registration and donations. The funds will be used for hospice services, supplies, care and support for hospice patients and their families. Last year the funds supported massage therapy and this year music therapy will be added. The therapies help with pain management.

The 105 mile ride surrounding Faribault began at Faribault Harley Davidson and ended at J&J Powersports with a silent auction and raffle drawing. The route stopped at The Lodge in Shieldsville, Old Town Tavern in Morristown, Sportsman’s Grille in Clinton Falls, and Boonies in Millersburg.

The Faribault Area Hospice is again making a fun event to help raise funds for the benefit of hospice. Two wheels or four, all makes and models are welcome to participate in this fun ride.
